We are so truly sorry to hear of Allan's passing. Knowing all of the incredible contributions he has made over his lifetime, it is evident he leaves a tremendous void of goodness and kindness. Please know you are in our thoughts and we are sending much love.

Hope I can upload these photos Brenda. So sorry for your lose. Allan was a generous man and ever the gentleman.
This pic of us drinking the tall beer was Allan’s first night ever in Mexico. He grew to love it there and I know he returned often.
We used to tease him because he was often mistaken for a native he tanned so well.
If I can’t upload the photos here you can send me your email address and I will pass them on to you.
Best wishes,
Maureen and Grant

I am sorry to hear about the loss of Allan. Allan was a regular at the cafe I work at for as long as I can remember. Reading his obituary made me wish we had gotten more of a chance to talk while I was preparing his drink. Allan seems to have lived a life of love and giving and he'll be missed by us in the cafe. My thoughts are with his family during this time. I hope you find peace and comfort.

I distinctly remember during one of the family reunions Allan's generosity hosting a grand BBQ at his (and Brenda's) estate. Although I (&Colleen) did not know him well we enjoyed how he opened up his whole home to everyone and even waiting until the end to try and grab a bite for himself. Our condolences to Brenda family + friends. Jim & Colleen Erskine

Dear Brenda and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Knowing Allan for the last 15 years has been such a honour and great learning experience for me. His commitment to Brenda and his faith was always such inspiration to me. Over the years we shared many breakfasts in Bedford. I learned through our conversations that it is not what you have that is important, it is what you do with what you have that is important. Allan always gave back in so many different ways and always did it with humility.
Through Allan's patience and mentoring he helped me become a better person and I will always be grateful for this .
I will miss him.

I first met Alan as a neighbour in Bedford, he bought a house from my friend who was leaving the city. Although Alan did not have kids he invited all the neighbourhood families each year to his pool party. I thought that was pretty cool, all the kids on Shore Dr. In our area loved it. I felt he did not have to do this, not having kids himself, but that was Al always interested in the neighbourhood. For many years Alan and I shared many cocktails on his wharf or mine, enjoyed talking boats and business and we always got together for BBQ’s at his place or mine.
Although I no longer live in Canada we chatted over the phone about business many times. I will miss him greatly and Carnah and I wish Brenda and family all the best through these tough times. May God Bless!
