Many small things.... I just wanted you to know that one more small thing your mother did is so greatly appreciated. When one of our members of the DARdpi community met your mother, she was encouraged to write a memoir of her days as a daughter of a DAR conductor, which is now online at our web site:
http://dardpi.ca/wiki/index.php?title=I_Am_A_DAR_Conductor%27s_Daughter
We at the http://DARdpi.ca and Facebook group DARDPI.ca are an internet community of railway fans dedicated to preserving the history of the DAR and the HSW railways that served western Nova Scotia.

I first met June in 2012 when I became involved as a board member for the Nova Scotia Gambia Association. What a tireless and devoted servant she was! The NSGA would not have survived and thrived without her ongoing attention to keeping the business side going as well as her own fund-raising activities. I also see from her obituary that she was heavily involved in other areas of service to humanity. She was heavily involved in the NSGA annual dinner just this past April. It was a shock to me to learn just a few weeks later that she was quite ill. I will miss her great spirit and dogged determination. I would have loved to attend the funeral but could not cancel my clinical duties at short notice.
My deep condolences to her family.

The June Boswell Family,
Wcame to know June in the mid 1990s when we worked with her before, during, and after our visit to The Gambia, where Paul taught with the Nova Scotia Gambia Association (NSGA)/ Saint Mary's University Extension Programme.
We found June to be an extraordinarily exuberant, charitable, and dedicated human being. We always looked forward to seeing her at NSGA events in Gambian attire! Those are happy memories. Our condolences to you on your loss of a life well-lived.

Dear Andrew and Traci, please accept my sympathy upon hearing of June’s death. There is an absent place at the Scott Manor House as we all adjust to the fact that she will not be present to share the many things she always has. June was dedicated to her special causes. To describe her would take many words, so here are a few: dedicated, super intelligent, loved a challenge, generated ideas, creative, artistic, loved history, and always helped. She was loved and respected and will be sorely missed. Please take comfort from the many people who will tell you they loved her and will miss her, Blessings, Francene Cosman

We, Ashley, Gibbs and I will miss our evening chats with June. The topics we covered many and varied. June had a real soft spot for Ashley who forever will try and head up her driveway to say hi. She was a grand lady and you guys were lucky to have her as your mentor and mum.

Andrew and Traci. I was shocked to hear of your mother’s passing. I was delighted to see her just a month ago at the NSGA luncheon at Dalhousie as she worked the registration desk, made a lovely speech thanking the students of Halifax West High School for their contributions to the NSGA, and then finished by working the auction table. We had time for a quick hug and a greeting. Somewhat ironically (but not surprisingly) my mail yesterday contained a hand written envelope and an income tax receipt, signed June Boswell!! As a former Chair of the Board of the NSGA, June and I worked closely together for many years. She was a remarkable woman. I admired her strength and her wisdom (and her capacity for work!!!!). My condolences to you and your families in the loss of a mother and friend. I am unfortunately away on May 28th and will miss the Celebration of Life! You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I’m so sorry to hear of Mrs Boswell’s passing and would like to send Condolences to her family. I was a very troubled and struggling student coming from a very violent home and attending Halifax West. I was blessed to have Mrs Boswell pull me aside and and in her very caring way she helped me to see my self worth. It’s hard to fully express all she did for me but her kind words stayed with me and help me still, she helped me turn my life around. I remember her with gratitude and fondness. Thank you Mrs Boswell ❤️

June was a strong woman, and she was always kind to me. I especially remember meals she prepared for me at her home while I attended MSVU to earn my degree. She also reached out when I was going through my divorce with thoughtful words of support. We were 2 of the 3 people who stood to verbally oppose the closing of the funeral coop, asking for a logical process that would benefit more, rather than a “one day only” offer that benefited few.
It does my heart good to think of her, my Dad, Gram and Grampie reuniting after so many years apart. God Bless,
Lisa
