Reginald A. Forbes, age 80 of Spryfield, passed away peacefully on May 15th, 2019 in the QEII Emergency Dept. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Al and Elizabeth (Stewart) Forbes. Reginald dedicated his life to serving others in the community as a mechanic both as his job and helping people with their cars on a private basis. He knew how to get a car started just by hearing a noise it made. As his son Tim would say, “Dad, you’re a jack of all trades, master of none.” (But you actually were master of all.) His love of boats was something he enjoyed all his life, even when there was a leak in the floor. He always had a sense of humor about everything. He is survived by sons Reg, Tim, and George; daughter Melissa; and grandsons Brandon and mother Helen), Shawn, and Jessy. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by brothers David and Billy. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 1st, 2019 from 2-4 pm, at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Drive Halifax.
