Obituary of Elizabeth Diane Marcattili

Elizabeth “Diane” Marcattili On January 18, 2019, Diane passed away surrounded by family in the VG Site, QE11. Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, Diane was loved by all who met her. Diane was born in Sydney, Cape Breton before growing up in Bedford; she would meet and marry her husband Antonio Marcattili and raise her daughter there. You could often find Diane spending time with friends, or at Dewolfe Park with her husband and sweet dog Princess. Above all, Diane cherished her family, especially her daughter, granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Diane was predeceased by her parents Bernard Leroy and Josephine Cook, and her sister Leona “Pauline” Cook. Those left to cherish her memory include husband, Antonio; daughter, Jo-Ann (Shawn) Maxwell; granddaughters Samantha Maxwell (Tyler), Jennifer Maxwell (Jacob), and Brianna Maxwell; sisters Joan (Bill) Blackwood,Valerie Brann; great-grandsons Hudson and Henri Legere along with many nieces and nephews. Diane was a kind and loving soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A very special thank you to Traci, William and Thomas as well as Joan, Bill and Jill for everything you have done for Diane. She loved and appreciated you so much. A special thank you to the staff of the 7A Palliative Care, especially Katie, for everything you did for us during our short time there. A memorial service for Diane will take place at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Bedford on Thursday, January 24th at 10:30 a.m. Father Patrick Cosgrove will be officiating.
