Julie Ann Cousins
Passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on January 29th, 2019, in the QE2 Health Sciences Center, at 62 years old. Born November 26th, 1956 in Barrie Ontario, she was the loving daughter of Dolores Jones, and the late Clare Jones.
Julie met her beloved husband, Wayne Cousins, in Barrie when she was a teenager, they married in November 1980 on her birthday, and moved to Sackville shortly after. Julie was a stay at home mother to their two children, Kevin Cousins and Amanda Cousins Oickle, heading back into the work force fulltime, in 2001 until 2018, at the Staples Call Center in Lower Sackville. She enjoyed her job, made many friends, and looked forward to the special occasions they celebrated at work. Julie had a green thumb and was an avid gardener who loved flowers and plants; especially lily’s, hosta’s and impatience. She always had her nose in a good book, liked crossword puzzles, feeding the many birds that visited her numerous bird feeders, and took up crocheting later in life. She loved making blankets for herself, and her beautiful grandkids who she was proud to talk about to everyone; Brea, Allie, Cassie and Quinn Oickle.
Julie will be honoured and remembered by her husband, their two children, son in law; Justin Oickle, four grandchildren, her mother, and brother Daniel with wife Shelley Jones and two nephews of Barrie Ontario, as well as a large extended family.
As per Julie’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of Julie’s life will be held at a future date in the spring.
