Obituary of Lorraine Flynn

Lorraine Flynn Beaver Cove It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Lorraine Flynn, age 79, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Margaret (Murray) MacDougall. Lorraine worked beside her daughter Arlene and husband Terrence for over 28 years in the family restaurant business in Beaver Cove, until lung disease enabled her to no longer work. She will be greatly missed by many family members and friends. Lorraine is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Terrence; two sons, Stephen (Lisa Pottie), Glen Haven, Warren (Joan MacDougall), New Waterford; daughter, Arlene Flynn, Beaver Cove; grandchildren, Amanda (Mathew Richardson) and Sean; great grandchildren, Mahailia, Malachi, Elliot and Donald MacMullin who was like a grandson. She is also survived by sister, Emily (Leo) Deveaux, Sydney River; sisters-in-law, Helen Pickles, Judy Pledge Penney, Deanne Dennison and Marguerite MacDougall as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Murray MacDougall. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. at the Boisdale Fire Hall, Boisdale.
