Brett, Ruby Lillian, of Chester Basin, passed away peacefully October 19, 2015, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Reginald an Audrey (Mitchell) Malloy. She is survived by daughter Carol Ann (James) Blackwood, Chester Basin; grandson Brett James; nieces and nephews. Ruby was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) W. Brett; sister Audrey Joan (Waller), and sister-in- law Nesta (Adamson). She enjoyed her last years in Chester Basin where Jack and she made their home, sailing, playing bridge, and gardening. Life members of the RNSYS, Ruby was Regent of IODE Major J.W. Logan, and President of the Grace Maternity Hospital Auxiliary. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2015, in St. John’s Anglican Church, Chester Basin with Reverend Peter Rafuse officiating. Burial has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to Discretionary Fund, St. John’s Anglican Church, Chester Basin or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T. J.
