Thomas “Tiny” Lynk

It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of Thomas Alexander ‘Tiny’ Lynk, age 69, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on February 12, 2019.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Wesley and Charlotte (Spencer) Lynk. Tiny was employed with Devco for many years until his retirement. Tiny loved fishing, hunting and spending time in the great outdoors with his family and friends. Dad loved the Toronto Maple Leafs, it was a joke that he was the coach because he would call the plays before they happened, game night was quite the event at the Lynk house. He loved the neighborhood children like they were his and treated his daughter’s friends as his own. Tiny will be greatly missed.
Tiny is survived by his loving wife, Betty Ann (McCarthy); three wonderful daughters, Karen Lynk(Ronald Walker), Renee (Christopher) Murphy and Erin Lynk; his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Jillian and Tyler; his precious great-granddaughter, Aurora. He is also survived by brother, Eddie (Sarah) Lynk; sister, Jean (Frank)Ryan; sisters-in-law, Marie Lynk and Cecelia Lynk; brother-in-law, Billy MacKeigan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Wesley and Charlotte, Tom was predeceased by his brothers Herbie, Freeman Clifford “Kippy” (Irene) and Murray; sister, Ruth.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay N.S. (902-849-4199)
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating at TJ. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, with a reception to follow. Burial will take place at a later date.
Donations in Tiny’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
