Obituary of Robert Charles Moore

Moore, Robert Charles It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Moore on November 25th 2015 in Halifax at the age of 70 after a courageous five year battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Ruth, the stepfather of Darcy Foulkes (Nancy) of Moncton, New Brunswick, and Richard Foulkes of Halifax, and much loved step granddaughter Michaela. Robert was born in London, Ontario, the son of Mildred Moore of London and the late Bernard Moore. He was the brother of Grant (Marilyn) Moore of St. Thomas, Ontario and John (Ann) Moore of Waterloo, Ontario. The much loved uncle of Michael (Jody) Moore, Ellen Marie Moore, and Jeffrey Moore of London, Ontario. Robert (Bob) was known for the hospitality business within Halifax. He worked for the Holiday Inn all over Canada and opened the hotel on Robie Street in Halifax. After that, Bob went on to open his own consulting business. We was also the general manager for the Halifax Club as well as the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron. Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, St. Thomas at a later date. The family appreciates and thanks the doctors, nurses and the Halifax Regional Canadian Cancer Society for the care, compassion and help that they gave to Bob over the last five years.
