Obituary of Edgar Brian Hutchins

1946-2016 Halifax, Nova Scotia Date of visitation: January 9th 2016 Location: Church of the Holy Spirit, Lakelands Rev. Edgar Brian Hutchins of Middle Sackville passed away peacefully January 4th at the VG Hospital, Halifax. Born in Middleton he was survived by his loving wife Sandra, Sister-in-law Alma and three nephews. He was predeceased by parents Bruce and Edith (Hutchins), uncle and aunt Lorne and Margaret (Baker). Brian was a Parish Priest serving in the locations of Pugwash, Glace Bay, Bridgewater, PEI, Sydney, Eastern Shore and Lake Lands. He was a firefighter and medical first responder with Three Harbours Volunteer Fire Department, Port Dufferin, Royal Canadian Legion chaplain for many years, also an unofficial chaplain for several years with the Sheet Harbour Detachment, R.C.M.P. Funeral Service will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit Lakelands on Saturday January 9th at 1:00 PM. Bishop Ron Cutler assisted by Rev. Nicholas Hatt Officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Church of the Holy Spirit Lakelands or the Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists.
