Obituary of Barbara Ann Brown

1938-2016 Halifax Ann Brown (nee Lamont) died on January 17, 2016 at the age of 77 in Halifax. She is survived by her husband William (Bill) Brown and son Mark, her sister-in-law Joan and nieces and nephews Mathew, James, Jennifer, Scott, and Bonnie. She loved all and was much loved in return. Through her life, Ann focused on caring for others, be it her family, her patients when she was a VON nurse and helped implement the first homecare system in Ottawa, her students when she ran the volunteer library system in Bedford, and children when she volunteered at the Izaac Walton Killam children’s hospital in Halifax. She leaves behind numerous friends and family who have known her gracious ways and will be deeply missed by all. A celebration of her life will be held at Calvin Presbyterian church in Halifax. A date and time for the service is still to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T. J.
