Dear Sandy, I was so sorry to hear about ” Tootsie”. She was a very special person to me when I was a small child. As you know she and Mom were great pals and were back and forth with one another in the early days. It was her who introduced Mom to Lodge. One vivid memory I have of your Mom was during one of our visits to see your Mom and dad. Your Mom had some great shoes which held a fascination for me.
I sneaked into her room and started trying them on. Well! My Mom caught me and gave me heck for all kinds of reasons. Not your Mom. She said I could try on and walk around in any or all of them. Funny that memory is as if were yesterday. I was very fond of your Mom and Dad and it is so sad to see yet another life come to an end. Please pass on my condolences to Joan, Larry , Jocelyn and families.
