I am so very sorry to hear of Edgar’s passing. I knew Edgar since the late 70s and our days at CIBC . He was always a good friend, fun to be around and a source of much laughter. I will miss him dearly and will always remember his ready smile & quick wit. We had many great parties with him with our group of former CIBC employees and he was the life of the party. His passing leaves a large hole in my life as both a good friend & my financial manager.

As a classmate of Edgar’s at PDHS (from grade 7 to graduation) I remember him for his quick wit and an ability to effectively delegate tasks to fellow classmates and also team mates on the basketball court. He always presented a positive attitude, touched with humour, which enriched both our classes and bus trips to basketball games throughout the province. Since graduating from high school our paths have rarely crossed, but reading Edgar’s obituary I see that he continued to bless all those in his life. With sincere sympathy to the family. I first met Edgar when I came to work with IPC many years ago. He was always a kind and generous man, and made me feel welcome right away. His face lit up every time he spoke of his “beautiful girls” and super talented grandchildren. In recent years, he would come in, tell a little joke, and often leave us some chocolate. We will miss his office visits very much. Sending love to his whole family. I hope you know how special you were to him.

Over the years we have enjoyed golfing together, breakfast meetings and just general conversation about the past.
