Obituary of Donald Joseph Murphy

Donnie Murphy, 70 of Ellershouse passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 23rd 2016 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Halifax he was the son of The Late John and Katherine (Sullivan) Murphy. Donnie was employed with Halifax Regional Municipality as a Tree Trimmer for over 35 years. Donnie was always known for his kind heart and always lending a helping hand. He is survived by his loving wife Olive of 36 years, son Stephen (Allison Clarke), two daughters Serena (Rodger) Randell, Suzanne (Oscar) Spencer, brother Cecil (Eileen), sister Shirley Dollard, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a special thank you to a special granddaughter Kayla. He was predeceased by brothers Kenny and Jack. A celebration of Donnie’s Life will be held on Monday, March 28th from 2-4pm in The Ellershouse Community Hall, Ellershouse.
