Obituary of Neil Morton Cassidy

Cassidy, Neil Morton –Age 81, died on April 18th 2016 at the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Montreal, he was the beloved husband of Merle Fraser; dearest father of Glenn (Montreal) and Clifford (Tina) of Calgary; dearest grandfather of Aidan, Liam, and Kaitlyn; brother of Richard (Ontario); and sister Neola Thacker (Ontario). He was predeceased by his parents. Employed by Peter Hall School (Montreal) for 40 years, he graduated from Concordia University in 1969 (B.A Degree) and received an Honorary Degree from Concordia in September, 2015 in Montreal. He received his Master’s Degree in Education from McGill University in 1975. He was active in Autism Nova Scotia and Bedford Baptist Church. There will be a memorial service on May 21st 2016, at 2:00 pm, at the Bedford Baptist Church, with a reception to follow at the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bedford Baptist Church or to the Dialysis Unit at the V.G. Site. A special thanks to the wonderful care at the Halifax Infirmary, Unit 8.4.
