Obituary of Anne Margaret Leslie

Please share a memory of Anne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
I have the option of writing this today. Although I didn’t cherish the idea, I did want to do it my way. I lost my battle with cancer on May 23, 2016 at my home in Bedford. I do not want a send-off that is too mournful and tearful. I’ve had a good life. I have loved and been loved deeply. My faith has done wonders for me all through my life. Keep it close. My work in the health care field as an LPN and an OR technician, gave me great satisfaction. I also enjoyed my volunteer work with the CWL, Religious Education, Transition House, Food Bank, Hootin Nannies and Hospice Society. I was born in North Sydney NS to the late William (Bill) McIsaac and Margaret (Walsh) McIsaac. I am survived by my spouse, Kevin Leslie and my beautiful, amazing daughters Katie (Rob) Kennedy and Laura Leslie as well as my much loved grandchildren, Antonio, Kali and Leo; brothers, Kenneth (Roberta) McIsaac, North Sydney, Alan (Caroline) Mc Isaac, Langley BC; and sister Mary Manner, Burlington ON; nieces Laura (Carl) Jessome, Anne Manner, Lynn (Ronnie) Pitts, Tanya Benn, Michelle (Andrew) MacPhee and nephews Neil (Kelly) McIsaac, Shamus (Jamie) McGee and Darcy McGee. I am also survived by my mother in law Marguerite (Mossman) Leslie; my sister in law Debbie (Rick) Benn, brother in law Ronnie McGee and predeceased by my sister in law Karen McGee. Last but not least my beautiful sister by heart, Bev Muir, always there…always soulmates. I love you. We should all be as lucky as she and I to have found a friendship that lasted the sands of time… and then some. I would like to close with a few thoughts…Lose your guilt and especially your fear. Be you, love you! Don’t burden yourself with socially determined standards. To my beautiful family, I love you dearly and will forever have you etched in my heart. I’ll be around, so be careful! Visitation will be held Friday, May 27 from 6-9 pm in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 724 Grandville St., Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 28 at 10 am in St. Joseph Parish, 138 Granville St, Port Hawkesbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s memory to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Bedford. (902) 835-4212. On-line condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.tjtracey.com
