Alfred Thomas MacPherson (Glace Bay) was given his wings on May 21, 2016 at the age of 81. Alfie was a dear and gentle father, brother, uncle and great uncle. He was the son of Marie (Ford) and Alfred MacPherson. Raised by dear and most wonderful grandparents, Catherine and James Ford. He is survived by sister Alma (Ed) Buchanan and their family, brothers Dennis MacPherson, Greg (Ada) MacPherson, David MacPherson and sister Shelia Hopkins. His dear friend and companion for many years, Joan Morrison, formerly of Glace Bay. Also, his children who are in Toronto and whom he thought of every day. Predeceased by his parents Marie and Alfred, brothers Donnie, Jackie and sisters Mary Poplawski and Helen MacCormick, step mother Ernesteen MacPherson, also Baby Marie, his dear little girl. Alfie resided in Toronto for many years and then back to Glace Bay and the last 2 years being spent at Harbourstone in Sydney, where he received wonderful care and love. Cremation has taken place and burial is to be with his parents and grandparents at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J.
