Andrea Jeanette Murphy
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Andrea passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born on July 23, 1945. Survived by her husband Jack, son Jeffrey (Anita), daughter Kimberley (Jeff), brother Ian (Beverley) and mother Joan. She is also survived by her three grandchildren Kyle, Katie and Cody. Andrea was predeceased by her father, Donald.
Andrea grew up in the quaint town of Annapolis Royal. A beautiful person both inside and out, she was once crowned the Apple Blossom Queen and enjoyed spending her summers participating in water skiing shows. Andrea attended Mount Saint Vincent University and studied business Administration. After marrying and spending many meaningful years raising her two children, Kimberley and Jeffrey, Andrea worked for the Sackville Arena/Sackville Sports Stadium for 21 years where she thrived in the role of facility coordinator. She loved her work and engaging with co-workers. In her spare time, she enjoyed swimming, walking, spending time with her sorority sisters and contributing to community events and charities. A devoted wife, caring mother, and loyal friend, Andrea will be missed dearly by many. A special thank you to the staff at Parkstone Enhanced Care for their work ethic, dedication and genuine affection through the full duration of Andrea’s care.
