Dear Jane and family, Steve and I send our deepest, heartfelt condolences to all of you on Helen’s passing. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to get to know her, first through our Stitch Weekend times at “Hotel Daley” in Moncton, and then as she moved to Lower Sackville to live with you and Jim. She will be truly missed! I’m so very sorry that I can’t make it to the funeral today. But please know that even if I’m not there physically, I’m there in spirit. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all, I know how special your Mom was and always will be ~ she has left footprints on all of our hearts, and especially mine. I admired how she was so strong in her faith and how she shared it with so many. I was blessed to enjoy her amazing cooking ~ her shortbread cookies were always such a special gift and treat. Your Mom has been a special friend for so many years ~ I always enjoyed her calls and cards and our visits. Dear Jane and James. Please know that you both and your families are in our thoughts. We had a crisis in our family 11 years ago when Linda fought a battle with liver cancer. She won the battle and is doing fine but Helen was one of her main sources of encouragement and strength. You may not be aware of all the times that she was there when someone had that need for some concern and encouragement in their greatest need. She was a wonderful friend. Dear Auntie Helen, I truly am going to miss all the love that you have shown me since I first started dating Bobby 39 years ago. You were both who we turned to when we needed answers. Dear Jane and James and family, our condolences go out to you. Helen was a constant at First Baptist and a friend to my mom, Jean Manning, who died April 27th this year. Our fathers marched together in a Remembrance Day parade in Moncton as proud veterans. We lost both of them too soon also. When we visited Moncton we often had lunch after church with Helen and the Sunday lunch group. I know Helen will be missed by you and her many friends.
