Obituary of Gary Vincent MacAulay

Gary Vincent MacAulay, 64, of Glace Bay, passed away November 11, 2016 at the CB Regional Hospital.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Mary (Hollohan) MacAulay. He worked for Armac for over 30 years and more recently he worked in the fishing industry. In his younger years he was involved in horse racing, bowling, darts and golf.
Gary is survived by his loving wife and best friend Diane Munden, daughter Lisa Whiting (James); 4 brothers, Kenny (Natalie), Ross and Robert (Susan), all of Sydney, and Allan, of Alberta; 4 sisters Donna (The Late Jimmy) Weatherbee, Debbie (Calvin) Brown, Linda MacNeil (Reid) and Colleen MacDonald (Hugh), all of Sydney, as well as Hopa’s pride and joy Kaitlin and Jamie Fortune, and many nieces and nephews. Gary is also survived by mother and father -in-law, James and Dorothy Munden, brothers-in-law Blair (Monica) Munden, Jimmy (Jenny) Munden, Danny (Karen) Munden, and sisters-in-law, Colleen (Albert) Seabrook and Nancy (Glenn) Sullivan.
There will be no visitation. A celebration of Gary’s life will be held Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 2:30pm at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists (Memorial Chapel), 370 Reserve Street, MacKay’s Corner, Glace Bay (902) 849-4199, with Rev. Carol Gillard officiating.
Interment to take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
