To the MacRae family: We are saddened to hear of your Mom’s death. A truly beautiful soul – we had many fun encounters with your Dad and Mom, when we crossed paths with Henry and Judy. Once you knew Vi, she was your friend forever. She was remarkable in every sense and was very proud of each of you. It has been many years since we have seen her, and heard through Henry and Judy that she was not well. Know that our prayers will be offered for Vi and your whole family as you mourn this great loss. Sincere condolences to Doug, John, Kim & families. Your Mom was one of the greatest women I have ever met. I, (Mavis ) had the pleasure of working at IME with her by my side. My sincere condolences on the loss of your mom. Vi was a mentor of mine when I was a teenager. We spent 2 great summers together sharing a tiny little bedroom on the backside of the kitchen at Camp Rankin. One of many great experiences I had being involved in 4-H! She was the camp cook and I was her assistant. We got to know a great deal about each other living in a tiny room. She was like a mom to me during those two summers when I was at a very impressionable age. Vi was so sweet and kind and Chester would come visit us during the week (usual Wednesday when he was peddling fish in St. Peter’s). He would come pick up Vi on Fridays to go home on the weekends, they were so cute! We had many talks over peeling 50lbs bags of potatoes. I will always cherish the love and respect she shared with me and I will never ever forget her loving hugs❤️ Fly high with the angels Vi ❤️❤️❤️. So sorry for your loss!

I was saddened to hear the news about Vi this morning. She was a wonderful lady who left a lasting impression on my life, I thought of her often. I loved visiting their home in West Arichat back in our Highland Dancing days, I have so many great childhood memories from those times. My deepest condolences to John, Doug, Kim and families.
