Theresa ‘Liz’ Pickup, 78 of Reserve Mines passed away peacefully on Saturday December 24th, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the Late Robert and Sarah MacLellan.
Liz was a lifelong resident of Reserve and had a great love for St. Joseph’s Church. She also had a passion for bingo and playing the slot machines with her sister, Mary. Liz loved Christmas and spending time with family. We would never have thought that the Lord would come to take her at Christmastime. She will be sadly missed by all her knew her.
She is survived by her sister, Mary MacLellan and a very special niece, Betty Campbell, along with brother-in-law, Wayne Campbell. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Alfred; brothers, Tony, John, Angus, Patty and infant brother, Francis; nephew, Bobby; sisters, Agnes, Rose, Margaret, infant sister, Mary-Anne; special sister-in-law, Lil Wiseman and niece, Theresa Russell.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28th, from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 2 p.m., at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists memorial chapel, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay 902-849-4199.
