Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Paul Edward Duffy, 52, Lower Sackville It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the passing of our son, brother, father and uncle on December 30, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Paul was born in Halifax and was a son of Kenneth and Lynda Duffy (nee. Finter). Paul had a handsome smile and a great sense of humour. He worked many years in sales and loved good food, chess, hockey, the ocean and his guitar. Paul spent many nights growing up with his best friends Greg, David, Brian, Jimmy, Travis and cousin Kevin playing poker and a mean game of RISK. Paul was very knowledgeable when it came to world events and loved a good debate, especially with his nieces Breanna and Emily Gale, who he loved to tease and tell jokes to. Paul is survived by his parents Lynda and Ken; sister Michelle (Wade) Gale; nieces Breanna and Emily gale; and his amazing son Kyle Burke who was by his side until the very end; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents George and Bertha Duffy; Ernest and Muriel Finter; uncles Edward Finter, Lionel MacDonald, George Duffy, Wayne Duffy; and aunt Sheila Mannette. By Paul’s request cremation has taken place under the care and direction of TJ Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Bedford, (902) 835-4212. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the Sackville Legion RCL Branch 162, on Sackville Crossroads. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Special thanks to his aunts Marianne, Gloria, Ruth and Millie; uncles David, Pat, Mike and Peter for their constant support and friends of family Norma Pepper and Robin for always being there, and thank you to Dr. M.
