Obituary of Ronald Joseph Campbell

Ronald Joseph Campbell Glace Bay It is with much sorrow that we the family announce the passing of Ronald “Ronnie” Campbell surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney and raised in Reserve Mines, he was the son of Mrs. Mary (McNeil) Campbell and the late John A. Campbell. Ronnie was employed at Devco for 33 years until his retirement in 1999. In his earlier years, Ronnie passion for hunting, fishing and Bingo afforded him the pleasure of meeting many life time friends. Besides his mother, Mary, he is survived by his wife, Jean “Tood” (McNeil) Campbell; his sons, Ronnie (Danielle), New Brunswick, Wayne (Mark) Ontario, Michael (Lisa), Glace Bay, as well as his stepson, Derrick McNeil, Reserve Mines; his precious grandchildren, Mitchell, Brandon, Tylor and Kayla; his sweet great-grandchildren, Caiden and Lincoln. He is also survived by his brothers, Willy (Sherry), Reserve, and Brian Campbell, Dominion; sister-in-law, Myrtle Campbell; brother-in-law, Joe Parsons. Besides his father, John, he was predeceased by his son, Stephen; sisters, Jane McDonald, Lexie Parsons and brother, Bernie Campbell. By his request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A family private burial will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). Donations in memory of Ronald may be made to the Renal Dialysis Unit, CBRH.
