Annie (Gillis) Hart Glace Bay Peacefully on January 16, 2019, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Annie, passed away at the Victoria Haven Nursing Home. Born and raised in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late James and Elsie (Knowles) Gillis. It was here in Glace Bay she married her love, the late, John Bernard Hart (1996). Known as “Nana” to her family, she loved a good game of cards, trips to Boston, and camping on the Mira. Her recent pastime was watching T.V., she kept up on the politics here at home and the United States and of course shared her opinion. Left to mourn her passing are sons, Bernard (Sherry), Malcolm (Debra); daughter, Ann Bernice (Joe Cordero); grand and great-grandchildren, Betty Hart, her children, Alex and Austin; Nicole (Marc Kennedy), their children, Aubrey and Brechan; Bernie Wade (Ann Marion), their children, Levi and Emery; as well many nieces and nephews. Annie was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary, Gertrude, Teresa and Jeannie; brothers, Mackie and Jimmy and infant granddaughter, Wendy Hart. We would like to thank the staff of Victoria Haven Nursing Home for their care and kindness given to Annie. At Annie’s request there will be no visitation or service. A graveside service in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, will be held at a later date. Donations in Annie’s memory may be made to the IWK. “Together Again” Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.tjtracey.com. ocked0 Ligh
