Obituary of Diane Gilfoy

We regret to announce the passing of our mother Diane (Trapp) Gilfoy, on Thursday February 16, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with her family by her side.
Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Henry and Christina (McLean) Trapp.
Diane was a member of Homeville Woman’s Institute and had a great love for Bingo, Elvis, Dollar Stores, Knitting and Crafts. She also enjoyed serving at Teas, Benefits, Country Markets in Port Morien and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by sons, Bradley (Leah) of ON, and Raymond of Homeville; daughters, Mary Rose (Chris) of Donkin and Cathy of Glace Bay; brothers, Jimmy (Brenda) and Steve (Sylvia) all of Glace Bay; sisters, Sandra (Tony), Barb MacIntyre (Charlie) all of Glace Bay, Joan Yensen and Gloria Forbes all of BC; grandchildren, Christopher, Sean, Aaron, Jessica, Bethany, Brandi and Heather and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Diane was predeceased by her brother, Henry Trapp; sister, Mary Morrison and special friend, Phyllis Peach.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of T.J. Tracey Funeral Home, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay 902-849-4199.
A celebration of Diane’s life will take please at a later date.
