Obituary of Margaret Ellen Poole

Poole, Margaret Ellen, age 70, of Herring Cove, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28th, 2017, with her husband and son at her side. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Doyle and Rita (Lahey) Doyle. She was a kind, compassionate person who loved her role of mother, not just to her two sons but also to many of their friends. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband of 50 years, and she especially loved being a grandmother and spoiling her 2 granddaughters. Margaret is survived by her husband and best friend Harry, Herring Cove; son Craig (Celeste Conrod); grandchildren Madeline and Holly; niece Kim Hicks, Alberta; “Thought of as sons”, Brendan Maguire, Herring Cove; Chris Sabine, Herring Cove. Predeceased by sister Sheila (Tickner) Doyle; brother Kenneth Doyle “jr”; son Mark, Herring Cove. Cremation has taken place, burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. There will be a private family service.
