Obituary of Helen Bernice Gillard

Helen Bernice Gillard, 86 of Glace Bay, passed away Tuesday April 11,2017 at the Glace Bay Hospital. Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Veronica (Brown) Gillard, Helen is survived by sons John (Vicki), Weldon (Masako), Leslie (Deedee), Glenn (Nicole), daughter Vonnie (Pat), daughters in law Susan and Bernadette, brothers Gordon (Chum) Gillard, sisters Joyce Leblanc (Sylvester), Pat Winstanley (Roy), Marlyn Delaire (Donald), Shirley Morrison, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by sons Michael and James, Grandsons Raymond and Joshua, brother Willie Gillard, sister Belle Simmons, sister in law Mary Francis Gillard, brothers in law Allen Simmons and James Morrison. Visitation for Helen will be Tuesday April 18,2017, from 6-9pm. A celebration of life service will be on Wednesday April 19,2017 at 11am, followed by a reception at Tracey Family Funeral Home 370 Reserve St, Glace Bay, 902-849-4199, with Fr.
