Obituary of Corrine Francis Smith

Smith, Corrine Francis (nee Wilson), age 64, of Halifax passed away gracefully at her home surrounded by family on May 8, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Gray) Wilson. Corrine will be remembered for her deep love of family and friends, her generosity, and her spirit for life. Her days were dedicated to raising her family. She loved reading, golf, travel, and socializing with her dearest friends. Corrine will be sadly missed by her devoted husband of 45 years, Billy Smith, their children: Trevor (June Dipchand), Toronto and Jyl (Ron) Boyle, Afton. She found great delight in her grandchildren: Andrew, Thomas, Patrick, Olivia and Veronica Boyle who will forever feel this loss. She will lovingly be remembered by her siblings Robert (Pauline) Gray, Kenneth (Brenda Camp) Wilson, Doug (Greta) Wilson, Bernard Wilson, Leonard (Gail) Wilson, Patricia (Ralph) Arsenault, Carm Farthing, Cindy (Richard) Howard, Charlene (Clyde) Wilson-Oliver and all those she considered part of her extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Diane, sister in laws: Shirley Wilson and Glenda Wilson, and brother in law: Jack Farthing. A service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at Saint Mother Teresa of Kolkata, 6032 Normandy Dr., Halifax on Friday May 12, 2017 at 11:00 am. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Bedford (902) 835-4212. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society. Corrine’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to those who helped her through this difficult time, including VON, the palliative care team and all other caregivers.
