It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Paul Shawn Nicholson, 52, of Glace Bay. Paul was the son of Ann Sharon (Currie) Nicholson and the late John James Nicholson of Dominion. Paul is survived by his wife and best friend Cathy, and his “fur” boys, Eddie and Oscar. Brothers, John (Sal), Angus (Margo) and sister Sharon (Carl) and his McPherson family, Margie, Joie, Ernie (Bob), Sheila, Madonna (Joe), and Billy. Paul dearly loved his nephews, Matthew, Dillon, Riley, Connor, Breton and Matt and his nieces Kim and Lucia. We are comforted in knowing that they will forever, cherish their time with “Uncle Paul”. Paul will also be remembered fondly by his nieces, Andrea, Patricia, Leslie, Roberta, Bobbi and nephews Donald, Donnie, Freddie, John, Michael, Ryan, David, Ben, Aaron who visited Paul and Cathy on many occasions in Toronto. He also treasured his trips to Palladium with Emma, his grand niece. Paul loved music, cars and had a wonderful sense of humour and could turn his hand to anything. He enjoyed nothing more then playing a tune on the keyboard for his father and mother. Along with his father, Paul was predeceased by his mother-in-law Mary, Brother-in-law Freddie, sister-in-law Patsy (Adrian) his niece Alana and his maternal and paternal grandparents. In keeping with Paul’s wishes, there will be a private family service only on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Cremation arrangements have been intrusted to T.J.
