It was with much shock and dismay for me to experience Tom’s passing. While our roads took different paths at many times, we were bound together from holding hands in Elementary School to sitting next to each other in Jnr. High and spending much of the summers together in High School. In subsequent years we spent much time together at Hubbards, even renting a cabin for a month, 2 years running, along with Brian Devereux. Tom was always an enjoyable companion with a lively imagination and a captivating sense of humour. I also agree with others that, at heart, Tom was also sensible, sensitive, supportive, and fair to all – a real human being and, as somebody also said, a “real man.” I’ll miss him.

I was sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. Tom worked at the Correctional Centre with my brother Brian for many years and I had met him on a few occasions. He was quite a character and a great deal of fun.

To the Tracey Family,
My family would like to send our sincere condolences to all of you.
We lived across the street from Tom for years and we eventually moved
but we would still run into Tom occasionally and it was always a pleasure when we did.
God Bless, Denise & Henry Bonilla

I worked with Tom (TT) for years. He would always bistow his wisdom on younger staff entering the Corrections field. He had quick wit, a great sense of humor and was very approachable and kind. In one of the darkest places in humanity (jail), Tom was a supportive, understanding man who always had time to lend a ear to fellow Correctional Officer in need of support.
Rest easy TT

Linda, Tim and family,
Words cannot express how sad Leo and I are about Tom’s passing. We shared many special moments with Tom over the years.
The first time I met Tom was late one fall night in 1981. Leo, Tom, Lamont and Big Larry arrived at our apartment in Clayton Park at 1:30-2:00 in the morning, after being out on the town. I got up to see who was with Leo and was introduced to “the boys”. Tom was his humorous self and he began to read my palm. The liquid spirits were definitely kicking in. So began a long term friendship.
Leo, of course, knew Tom for 40+ years. It was part of their routine to check in with each other, chatting on the phone sometimes 2-3 times a day or having lunch together with some of the boys. A friendship of endearment for sure.
He “is” missed.
