Obituary of James Freeman White

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather. Jim passed away at age 65 from Pancreatic cancer. Jim was born in Halifax but lived in Sackville, NS for his entire life. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Joan (Paul); sons, James Ryan (Bonnie); Adam Patrick (Marsha); and his precious granddaughters, Aliyah, Alexa and Rilynn. Jim is also survived by his special Aunt Joan (Nicks); brother, Patrick White (Bonnie); sisters, Sandy Wire (Bruce), Carolyn Hipson (Steve); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jim was so fortunate to have loving in-laws who were so supportive during his illness. Jim truly loved his mother-in-law Dorothy Paul. Jim is predeceased by his parents, George Patrick and Joyce White. Jim worked for many years with CN Intermodal, Halifax, NS. There he made great friends. They were all so kind during this difficult time. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. John Vianney Church, Lower Sackville at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 24, 2017, with reception to follow in the church basement. No visitation upon request of family. Family burial at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Family flowers only but donations to the Cancer Society in Jim’s memory would be appreciated.
