Please share a memory of Omarrahh to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Omarrahh (Roy) Livingstone , 73, of Beaver Bank, died Wednesday March 13th, 2019 at the VG hospital following a brief illness. He leaves behind his two sons Khataumahh (Toma) Livingstone and Aummazarr (Zarr) Livingstone, Daughter-in-law Jodie Livingstone, step daughter Dawn Marie Merry, separated wife Judith MacNamara, three grandchildren Zander and Sierra Livingstone, Brianna and pretty much all of HRM. Born in Glasgow, Scotland and raised primarily by his loving grandmother, Roy moved to Ontario in his teenage years. Soon finding his way joining a group of likeminded individuals with a mission to save the world. Here he learnt to do custom leather work and of course how most everyone knows him selling flowers. At the age of 30 he moved to Nova Scotia and knew this place was where he wanted to remain. Roy was the hardest working man we have ever known. Constantly on the go. He took great pride in knowing he had a hand in many relationships. The first rose for some relationships, others a rose to show your significant other that you still love them as much as you did since day one or a rose just to show someone that you care. Roy has always had a passion for singing. Later in his years he started doing karaoke and evolved into singing with majority of the bands around HRM. The amount of love and support that has been shown to him over the last few weeks was nothing short of unbelievable. It gave him so much strength and pride and we can’t thank you all enough. The celebration held at Parkside Pub March 10th was amazing. Words can not describe how honoured we all are. He will be deeply missed by so many but never forgotten. The Cupid of HRM, avid golfer, the man with the cowboy hat or messy hair hat, many different nicknames, and he has given so many special nicknames as well. Kind, caring and a little crazy at times but a bright light to so many in this world. The legend! Our dad! Gone but never forgotten. Until we meet again, RIP. No funeral services will be held as it was Dad’s wish. Online condolences can be made by visiting www.tjtracey.com.
