Mitchell, Francis G., age 79 of Bedford passed away June 21, 2017, in the QEII Halifax Infirmary. He was a member of one of Bedford’s founding families. Predeceased by his parents, brother, sisters, sons Shawn and Kevin. Survived by his wife of 58 years Dorothy (Rodgers), sons Stephen (Linda), Keith (Toni-Lynn), Neil (Carolyn), daughter-in-law Kelly Anne, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Cremation and burial have taken place. There will be a celebration of Francis’ life on Wed., June 28, 2017, 2 to 4 p.m. at St. Ignatius Church Hall, Bedford.
