Obituary of Angela Marie Kelly
Please share a memory of Angela to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, daughter and sister, Angela Marie Kelly on, July 16, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by her loving family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Angela was born in Glace Bay on September 17, 1976. She was the daughter of Cotter and Barbara (DeCoste) Kelly.
Angela’s main love in life was her family; she truly loved and enjoyed spending time with her children and siblings. She loved her dog Daisy and her cat Lily whom she cherished as her fur babies.
She leaves behind to mourn her pride and joy, her children, Bryanna, Dakota, Jessica and Madison; her partner, Brian Sponagle; sisters, Michelle and Cynthia (Greg). She will be sadly missed by special nephews, William and Mason; her paternal grandmother, Cecilia Kelly; her Godson, Roman; Godmother, Ann Marie Kelly, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A special mention to two of Angela’s closest friends, Tanya MacLeod and Vanessa Gaudet.
She was predeceased by a sister, Sherrie Lee in infancy. She also predeceased by maternal grandparents, Dolena and William DeCoste, and paternal grandfather, Aloysius Kelly.
We would like to extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to everyone who supported Angela during this difficult journey. A special thank you to the nurses on the An Cala Palliative Care Unit and 4B at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for the wonderful care Angela received over the last few months. Also, a special thank you to her cousin Lynnette and Aunt Peggy for their kindness and generosity during this difficult time, and her family doctor and palliative care team of VON.
Funeral service will be held Monday, July 24 at 11 a.m. in T.J. Tracey Funeral Home Chapel, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS, B1A 4X2, 902-849-4199.
