Obituary of David Francis Pace

PACE, David F. Dave passed away peacefully Aug. 4th at home in Shad Bay, age 75. Son of the late Milton and Edith (McSweeney) Pace. Beloved husband of Nancy (Tobin) Pace. Loving father of John (Lynn) and Crystal (John Furey). Dave was the 5th child of a family of 10 and will be missed by his siblings, Milton “Mickey” (Sylvia), Kingston, Ed. (Mary), Geno (Janice), Joan Maddison, Janet (Norman) Beattie, all of Halifax, Lynda (Terry) McCullough, St. Andrews, N. B., Bonnie El Ezaby, Sterling, Virginia. He also leaves his much-loved grandchildren that he was so proud of, Derek and Laura Trider, Tyler and Chelsea Pace and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Bob and Ron. Dave was a master plumber and operated his own business for 40 years in Halifax. He loved playing golf with his many friends at Granite Springs and spending family time in Shad Bay. The family want to thank the wonderful help of the Palliative Care team, the VON nurses and staff of Closing the Gap. Family will receive visitors and share memories at the Whites Lake Legion on Monday, Aug. 7th from 7 – 9pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Shad Bay, Wed. Aug. 9th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
