It is with deep regret that we the family announce the passing of our sister, Marie Campbell after a short illness at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Montreal on March 11, 2017.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (McIntyre) Campbell.
Marie received her education at The School for the Deaf in Halifax. She lived an independent life, working in Halifax and later moved to Montreal. Marie enjoyed knitting and playing Bingo.
Marie is survived by her brothers, Joe (Ruth), Tom (Sandra), Truro, Frank (Rosanne), Whycocomagh, Doug (Monika), Oakfield; her sisters, Louise (John) Robinson, Kathy Buchanan (late Bill); as well many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Francie Nicholson.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 with a celebration of life to follow at 11 a.m. with Deacon Lorne MacNeil officiating, at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902) 849-4199.
Burial to take place at St. Anne’s Cemetery, with a reception to follow at T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists.
