Obituary of Gerald Yorke

Gerald F. “Butch” Yorke Glace Bay It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Butch Yorke on Saturday, September , 2, 2017 at the Glace Bay Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Thomas and Evelyn (Kieley) Yorke. He was employed as a baker for many years. He enjoyed playing checkers with his cousin John and was he was very dedicated as a blood donor. Butch is survived by his daughters, Geraldine (Donald), and Tracey (Greg), sister, Marilyn (Donnie) Donovan, brothers, Art and Tommy (Kaye), cousin and caregiver, John Arthur Gilmet, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Jeanie and brother, Ray. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, September 7, 2017 with Rev.
