Campbell (Simons), Margaret Elizabeth, age 85 of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 2, 2017 at QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Byfleet, England, she was the daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth Simons. She enjoyed spending Sunday afternoons at the Sackville Leisure Centre bingo with her girls. She received numerous recognitions from the Cow Bay Lions Club for knitting 8,000-10,000 pairs of mittens, was a past member of both the Dartmouth and Armdale Yacht Clubs, avid bowler, crib player and dart player for many years. Margaret is survived by her twin daughters, Tina Campbell (Lane), Michelle Campbell (Ian), of Lower Sackville, Brother Jim Simons – New Zealand, Sisters Jean Hutley and Jeanette Green – England. Grandchildren Carrie (David), Kelly (Cory), Bryan (Lindy), Nicholas, Margaret and Raymond, great grandchildren Aiden, Aja, Berlyn, Madyson and Maryah. Predeceased by her husband Donald (Nick) Campbell, both parents and several brothers and sisters. A celebration of life will be held September 16, 2017 from 3-5pm at the Sackville Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice in her memory. She will be remembered for her quick wit and spicy sense of humour. “Have you been told today?”
