Obituary of Linda Marie Howley

Linda Marie Howley Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Linda Howley on October 15, 2017 at the QE 11 Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loving family. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Tena Acker and Martin Tracey. Linda was employed with Sobeys for 20 years until her retirement. She will be missed by her shadow Olivia (her four legged companion), and her best friends, Kay Wilson and Sandra Malin. Linda is survived by her loving husband, James “Wishie” Howley, her daughter, Ashley Howley, sisters, Florence (Forbes) MacPherson, Rose (Wayne) McComber; brothers, David, Pat(Debbie), Alan (Joanne) as well as several nieces and nephews. Special thank you to Dr. O’Brien and Crystal Sibley for their support over the years. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the Cardiac Unit for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Cremation has taken place. As per Linda’s wishes, there will be a graveside service 10:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, MacLeod’s Rd. with Father Boudreau officiating.
