Obituary of Caroline Pamla McGrath
Please share a memory of Caroline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pam has fought a great fight but is now flying high with the angels. After fighting Cancer 3 times, and battling an underlying respiratory disease, she has lost her battle and is no longer suffering. Pam was a cashier, courier, and mostly a cleaner throughout her work life. She enjoyed making others happy, and doing these types of work did just that. The friends she met along the way, became friends for a lifetime. Watching, and yelling at a Toronto Maple Leaf’s game was on her list of favorites things to do. Hey, maybe now she will help them win the cup. Bingo was another favorite thing to do. No matter if it was playing bingo at a hall, on T.V. or online, she played it. Go ahead and bother her, I dare ya. The stories that could be told about Bingo trips back in the day at Tommy’s Bingo Hall, are nothing short of what you would expect coming from her. I mean let's be real, bingo, gambling, and her tickets were so much a part of her, she literally was having her tickets opened and scanned for her while she was in the hospital. Our Bingo adventures will truly be missed, and darn her and all her luck, it probably won’t be so lucky at the table anymore, if you know Pam, she was often lucky on her adventures. Although she is not here in person, we know as soon as she hears anyone say they’re going to Bingo, she will be right there in spirit. Let the adventures live on.
Being a grandmother, and mother was her favourite thing in life. Pam lived one rough lifestyle, and had to learn a lot on her own, but she did, and we couldn’t be more proud of who she became. Pam made great achievements in learning how to be a grandmother and mother which helped her become the best darn grandmother and mother that anyone could ask for. If you knew her, you knew the love she had for her daughter and grandchildren was endless. She always had at least one of them at her house. Heck, they all even threatened to run away and live at nan’s house at one point in time. Pam was not just the best mom and nan that you could ask for, but she also was the best community momma around. Pam has claimed many people as her own family, you know who you are, and we thank you graciously for touching Pam’s heart like you have. You know her, there was never a dull moment with all of her stories. Always fun and lots of laughs to be had. She made sure to remind us, even in her final moments, that there is more to come. Even though her vessel has sailed to a better place, she will thankfully remind us forever, that she is with us daily.
Pam is survived by her daughter, Shannon (Mark); grand-daughters, Amanda, Megan (Nathan), Skylar; and grandson, Cameron. Pam is also survived by her brother, Bradley McGrath. Pam had 2 cousins Terri, and Cissy, that were more like her sisters. Although they moved away, they never left each other's sides and were there for each other until the very end and she couldn’t thank them enough for everything in life. Pam is also survived by numerous cousins whom she loved, and her much loved niece, Courtney Mae. Pam had 2 other daughters Alicia and Melissa, whom she never stopped loving or caring about. She wishes them all the best in life and will love them forever. Pam also leaves behind her two precious fur babies Mr. Gibbs and Tiger whom will miss her greatly.
Pam was predeceased by her loving partner, Jeff Miller; her nanny, Leslie; mother, Vera Mae McGrath; father, Gordon Sullivan; and brother, J.P McGrath.
