Murray Bruce Monk passed away peacefully Jan 9, 2025 in Northwood Manor, Halifax NS. Known as Bruce most of his life, he was born Dec 28, 1943 Wyse’s Corner, Halifax NS.

Bruce was the son of the late, Murray Fulton and Muriel Ella (MacKenzie) Monk.

He is survived by his children, Charlie, Wanda, Stephen, Donnie; and sister, Helen (Monk) Brotherston.

Bruce was predeceased by his brother's, Leonard, David, Paul; and sister, Muriel Anne.

Bruce loved to play and sing country and western songs with his guitar. His great accomplishment was writing a book Promises of Bipolar a Biography of Bruce Monk, which he was very proud of.

In Ontario he was known as the miracle man. He walked across the 401 and was hit by a car and flew in the air and landed on his feet and walked away.

Just want to thank all the staff at Northwood who loved and took such great care of Bruce.
