Myrna Leona Phillips Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we, the family, announce the unexpected passing of our mother, sister, daughter, and friend, Myrna Leona Phillips, in the Halifax Infirmary on January 8, 2025.

Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Leona (Bert) Leblanc and Donnie Phillips. She was a long-time employee of Celtic Court, where she made many friends, both with coworkers and residents alike.

Myrna lived life on her own terms and to the fullest. She is survived by sons, Devin and Kodey; grandchildren, Alyssa Rutherford and Gaige MacNeil; sister, Crystal; nephews, Hunter and Logan; special aunt Charlene Costello; as well as her special friend and companion, Bernie MacLean.

Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Gordie and Dorothy Costello.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Funeral Home, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, NS, 902-539-7175. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 10, at 5 pm, downstairs at the Ashby Legion, Branch 138, 35 State Street, Sydney.
