Rose Marie Bastine, 93 of Glace Bay, NS passed away in Halifax, NS surrounded by her family.
Born in Glace Bay, NS, she was the daughter of Charles Charumski and Lucy LeBlanc.
Rose’s hobbies included knitting, going to Bingo and a good game of cards. She loved to bowl and play darts. Rose’s passion was singing in the Coal Town Chorus.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Karen, Halifax, NS; sons, Brian, Vancouver, BC; Steven(Lesia), Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren, Mitchell, Nathan and Chris(Michelle), Halifax, NS; brothers, Tommy(Pauline), Ontario; Clarence, Ontario; sister, Mary, Ontario; Special Life Long Friends, Linda, Ontario, Albert, Glace Bay, Jenny, Halifax.
Rose was predeceased by her husband, Harold Lloyd Bastine; daughter, Linda Jean; brothers, Joseph, Alex, Stephen, Roddy, John, Tommy, Freddie, Walter, Felix and Paul; sister, Annie.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. with a celebration of life to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding in the Chapel at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, NS,(902-849-4199).
Memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army and the local food bank.
Interment will take place in the spring at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
