Obituary of Scott David Gendreau

It’s with profound sadness that we announce that Scott David Gendreau, 45, of Bedford, Nova Scotia, formerly of Sturbridge, Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday, October 1st, surrounded by family in Halifax, Nova Scotia, after a battle with cancer. He leaves his fiancé, María de los Ángeles Acosta; his son, Sasha Scott Gendreau; his daughter, Selena Lourdes Gendreau; his stepson, Mateo Agustin Bocci; stepdaughter, Micol Alessandra Bocci; his father, David A. Gendreau of Port Orange, FL; his mother, Suzanne L. (Loranger) Moulton of Fiskdale; his two sisters, Bonnie Nichols and her husband Ralph Nichols, Jr. of Brimfield and Robin Kelleher and her husband Peter Kelleher of Cavendish, VT; his two nieces, Sarah Nichols and Sydney Learned; his three nephews, Michael Nichols, Joseph Murray and Jonathan Murray; and several aunts and uncles. Scott was born in Southbridge on September 26, 1972 and grew up in Sturbridge. He was a graduate of Tantasqua Regional High School. He went on to serve in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. After the service, he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC and lived there for many years before settling in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada in 2013. Scott was self-employed for many years before his illness. Scott was an avid racquetball player and enjoyed skiing and golf. He was his happiest when he was devoting his time and energy to all of his children and being part of their lives. His greatest pride was being the best dad and the birth of Sasha and Selena were the highlights of his life. His great sense of humor and beautiful charming smile will be missed.
