Obituary of Lawrence (Larry) Ryan

Lawrence (Larry) Ryan, 84 Glace Bay, N.S. We the family of Lawrence (Larry) Ryan, announce his passing on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at home from a broken heart, due to the death of his wife, Kay, one year ago. Born Feb.3,1940 in Reserve Mines, N.S., Larry was the son of the late John (Jack) and Elizabeth Ryan. Larry worked at Sydney Steel Corporation and was a Coal Miner with Devco Coal Corporation until his retirement. He enjoyed watching the Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs and a few cocktails on every occasion. Larry is survived by his two sons, Larry Jr. (Elizabeth) and Allan (Cori); grandchildren, Kyle, Nolan, Michael, and Kelsey. He is preceded in death by his wife Kay, his parents and nine of his brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. 902-849-4199. There will be no service and burial will be sometime this summer.
