Obituary of Thomas Roache

Thomas Roache, age 80, of Halifax passed away October 19, 2017 in the Victoria General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Henry and Katherine Roache. Tom was an artist known for his watercolour paintings. He attended many workshops in Europe and was a member of local art groups in Halifax and was the recipient of many awards. Tom served in the soldier apprentice program for 5 years and later worked for the Toronto star as an illustrator He is survived by brothers, Michael (Patricia) and Henry (Marilyn); and many nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his wife, Elvera; brothers, Bernard (Bun), Edgar, John, Gerald and Henry; sisters, Ella, Irene and Mary. Arrangements have been entrusted to T.J.
