It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father Everett Jardine, age 82 of Lower Sackville. He passed away in his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. He later moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he met his wife Rita. Everett is survived by their children, Sonya (Paulo) Brilhante, Denise (Paul) Brown, Everett (Marsha & Maddison) and Kelli (Mark) McGrath; grandchildren, Danielle, Nick Brilhante, Hillary (Jordan) Audas, Emily Brown, David and Brianna McGrath; great grandchild, Robin Audus-Brown; sister Diane (Donnie) Frizzle; sister-in-laws, Gloria MacGillvray and Linda (Ozzie) Gray, brother-in-law, Allan (Brenda) Sullivan, Bob (Maureen) Sullivan, Percy Fawson, and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins. Everett was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Rita (Sullivan), infant daughter, Kelly; father, William Everett Jardine, mother, Alice (Good Garnier); sister, Joan and brother, David, father-in-law, Allan (Rocky Sullivan) mother-in-law, Ethel (Organ Sullivan), sister-in-law, Alana Fawson and nephew, Craig Fawson. Until his retirement, Everett was employed with the Halifax Regional Fire Department. Throughout the years Everett enjoyed fishing with his son, vacationing in PEI at his sister Diane’s and hunting with friends from the fire department. He loved cooking food for his family, playing guitar, carpentry, building, and was always there to help friends and family with household projects. He could fix just about anything! A special thank you to our dear family friend Elizabeth Hickman and Sukh from continuing care - dad always looked forward to your visits. We are also forever grateful to dad's neighbors for their kindness and support. It meant the world to him and to us. Goodbye for now, we’ll love you forever. With love transcending until we meet again. To honor our father’s wishes, there will be a private service with close family at a later date. In memory of Everett, Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Feed Nova Scotia.
