I am shocked and saddened to hear of Warrens passing as I had only seem him driving by near Home Depot two weeks ago. I hadn’t seem him in years and as usual, he had a huge smile on his face as he waved and pointed when he drove by. I’m glad I got to notice and wave back because it did make my day getting to see an old friend after so long.
Warren was by far one of the best bosses I had. I worked with him at 72 Comm Gp Hq and while my first impression was of an intimidating and somewhat scary individual, once I got to know him, I discovered nothing could have been further from the truth and we had many laughs and good times.
I have him to thank for showing me Gros Morne on a unit adventure training week. He took the time to plan and arrange the entire trip for a large number of us. I had my first taste of lobster and had one of the best times with many good laughs and Warren with a large smile on his face all the time.
We have all lost having him gone and thank you Warren for the great memories.

I am truly saddened by this news. WO Tourout (as I knew him) was a true professional and a pleasure to work with. No matter the task, or degree of difficulty, he could always be depended upon to get the job done. During our many conversations, both work and recreational (we travelled a fair amount in the Reserves to do Staff Assisted Visits in 72 Communications Group) he had lots of good information / stories to share. He always spoke fondly of his wife and kids. I cannot believe he has departed us so soon. God bless.

He was a true Newfoundlander, kind and caring. Last time we had seen each other was in Ottawa 2012. We had a feast of wings. I always will remember the advice he gave me then and as well the story’s he told. He was a great friend and mentor in the short time I knew him. Sad to hear of his passing but glad he is in a better place and no longer in pain.

So very sad to hear of Warren’s passing. Taken far too soon.
Warren was a friend and mentor to me since I was a young Private. His smile and jovial disposition set him apart from other Warrant Officers of the time. His genuine care for those he worked with set a standard for others to emulate. The life and leadership lessons he taught me all those years ago have stayed with me throughout my career in the CAF, and I am so very thankful to have know Warren.
My deepest sympathies to Glenda, Brandon, Shannon and the family.

To Warren’s Family & Friends,
Words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that I feel for the passing of Warren. Please accept my condolences.
Stand down soldier,
Your mission is done,
The danger over
There’s no need to run,
You were trained well,
To obey each demand,
So take this and heed,
This final command,
Rest your body,
close your eyes,
As we weep the loss,
When a good soldier dies,
Bask in peace,
that you can enjoy,
Embrace it for us,
Let it too be our joy,
The life you have lived,
will constantly remind,
And bring on a smile,
to those you leave behind,
We thank you for your serving,
Your loyalty stood true,
And hope someday,
we will meet up with you.

Glenda it’s a beautiful write up on Warren, He had a full military career for sure. Yes he told me you were the love off his life and adopting Shannon and Brandon was the icing on top of the cake for sure. He looks good in his uniform. I won’t make it down to the service, but I will be standing proudly at the cemetery in Ottawa, when he is finally laid to rest. Just let me know the date. ❤️
