Aunt Cathy and family,
We were saddened by the loss of Uncle Joe and would like to pass on our sincere condolences to you and your family.
While it has been a long time since we have been in contact (I believe the last time was the year my brother Paul was married), our memories of Uncle Joe were that of someone who was intelligent yet very approachable, personable, and easy to talk and with a wonderful love of life.
On a personal note, one memory which has always stuck with me was the 11 hour drive we took from Calgary to Vancouver in 1984. We both ended up at the Hay household at the same time (he from a conference in the Rockies, me in a cross country drive from Montreal) and both of us on our way to Vancouver. He suggested we split the driving duties and gas. As we took in the scenery and even an educational side trip to Hell’s Gate, that trip became a lesson to me that life is not about the destination but the journey. As I was starting a new and critical phase in my life, his advice and perspective made me appreciate every moment since. Thanks Uncle Joe!
Our warmest regards,
Your nephew, John Tourneur, on behalf of the entire Tourneur family (John Sr., Ann Marie, Francis, Paul and Diana)

Sorry to hear this. Was a student at NSIT in the late sixties in Mechanical Technology. "Mr. Driscoll" was a great educator that made learning a lot of fun. Math, physics, computer programming....enjoyed all his classes!
